Tetrem Health Center appeal for support
Health officials at Tetrem, a farming community in the Afigya Kwabre North district of the Ashanti region are appealing to the government for medical support at their health center. Speaking to journalists, the assistant health officer Dr. Amponsah Richard said, They are facing a lot of challenges in the facility which the government must come to their aid with immediate effect. “Our nurses quarters are in a deplorable state and it has compelled some of our colleagues to reside at different places. There isn’t enough room for the workers to sleep which is very bad. And then also, patients who come here with a severe sickness are normally transferred to other hospitals because we don’t have enough drugs to take care of them” he lamented.
But responding to this plea, the assembly member of the area Hon Obeng Boapong Marfo said, he has tried his best to resolve these challenges but yet to no avail. “I am also pleading to the government and other stakeholders to come and support us or else my people are suffering a lot in this facility”.
